Paris Day Twelve - 13 minutes

Today we went up to Montmartre. I wanted to show my sister and niece the wonderful view of Paris from in front of Sacre Coeur. We started at metro Barbes-Rochechouard and walked our way West toward the hill. I remember staying in the neighborhood in 2000 for a few nights before moving to a Comfort Inn of Rue Abbesses. I have to say this isn't the best place to hang out. Even thought the Louxor theatre is here I wan't to leave this place as soon as possible.

Before making the journey up the 202 steps to Sacre Coeur we stopped at a Pop Up shop and looked at all manner of hand made items: jewelry, bags, hair pins, mobiles, lamps, you name it. Just up the street were the steps.

Visited again the building were Vincent and Theo Van Gogh lived for two years.

We stopped at a shop called Antoine & Lili and looked around. I bought and really night mohair sweater. The weather has been very mild and I was not going to need the coat I brought any longer. Wonderful service as well. They import the fabrics then design and make all the clothing in France.

We went back to the apartment for some food and small rest. Then we were on our way to the 20th and Pere La Chaise cemetery.

Getting very dark

We were busy taking photos and didn't realize we were locked in.
We made our way to the main exit and the gate was locked. We were locked in Pere La Chaise for a whole of 15 minutes before the guard came to open the gate for a car that also stayed a little to late.

We left for the cinema on the Champs Elysees to see The Heart of the Ocean. On the metro I would have sworn this guy was Mark Strong. I seriously started to believe it was him.
