Paris Day Twelve

I went to the Mona Bismarck American Center for Art today. On view was a photo exhibit of Yousuf Karsh portraits. One of the best portrait photographers I've seen. It was interesting walking around looking at the photos knowing that this was the someones home. And with chandeliers in every room.

On the way there I had to check out the silver T-Rex at the Bateaux Mouches. Fun stuff. It looks like there's a stegosaurus above the sign but it's really not easy to see.

After the exhibit I walked down Ave de New York to the Eiffel Tower. Way too many tourists for me. Took some quick photos and high tailed it out of there. Jumped on the RER C back to the apartment for lunch.

Then back up to Montmartre to see Blue Jasmine at Studio 28. I couldn't pass up a chance to see a film where L'age d'Or debut 83 years ago. And the lights inside the theatre were designed by Jean Cocteau.

Looks like he's about to take a bite out of the American Church.

Flame of Liberty for Princess Diana. It's been cleaned up. The last time I saw it there as writing all over it.

Beautiful trees along Ave de New York

Jean Cocteau's design

It's a muli-colored ghost so I'm not sure what you call this one. It was put up sometime after May 2012.

The advertisements changed overnight in the metro. Bates Motel and Thor everywhere. New movies start on Wednesdays here.

Midnight in Paris location. This is the Polidor. Gil comes here with the Fitzgerald and meets Hemingway for the first time. It's the entrance on the right side of the Hotel Stella sign that's in the movie. Hemingway did actually go here.
