Then this evening I went back to Shakespeare and Company for a poetry reading with Antjie Krog. She read about 15 poems from Skinned: Select Poems and took questions. While some of the subject matter was a bit heavy she still showed a good sense of humor. I quite liked her. Her native language is Africaans which until today I don't think I've ever heard. It sounds a bit German to me. She translates her own work into English.
Here's some photos from the walk and after:
The bottom of Rue Tholoze. You can see Studio 28 on the right.
Bunuel and Dali's L'Age d'Or premiered here in 1930.
Vincent and Theo Van Gogh lived on the 3rd floor of this building.
I won't be.
The top rue Tholoze. You can just see the gold some of Les Invalides that contains Napoleon's tomb way in the distance.
Moulin de la Gallette. Also seen in Renoir's painting "Bal du Moulin de la Galette”.

La Maison Rose
Vineyard
This is how it looked around 1890.
Invader in between Place de Tertre and Sacre Coeur. It's not on Google maps so it was put up sometime after August 2009.
Effile in between the antenna.
Invader at the bottom of the Funiculaire.
This one is on Google maps so it was put up sometime before May 2012. It still looks good.
I visited Anoki in 2000 and still have the necklace I bought there.
Abbesses station
Anyone heard of this movie? Good cast.
